BRIDGE understands that an apartment with affordable rent is a stepping stone for advancement, and that education has the power to transform people and communities. In that spirit, BRIDGE created a special business and accounting scholarship for residents in honor of Kent L. Colwell, a longtime friend and Board member who passed away in January 2016. Kent served diligently as Chair of the BRIDGE Audit Committee and as a member of the Finance and Projects committees.
HOW IT WORKS
To apply, residents write essays describing their career goals and personal life stories, and provide letters of recommendation. The Kent Colwell Scholarship will provide support for BRIDGE residents who are pursuing a career in Business or Accounting.
Awardees selected through a competitive process will receive up to $10,000 each for up to four years to use toward tuition, books, childcare and other expenses while pursuing their degree.
Colwell Scholarship applications are now being accepted.
You may download an application by clicking the link below. Applications are due no later than Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 11:59PM to be considered for the current round of funding.
