Ironhorse at Central Station provides 99 affordable one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments in Oakland.

Ironhorse provides 99 affordable family apartments and stands at the center of Central Station, an exciting reintegration of approximately 29 acres of unused industrial land into the surrounding residential neighborhood in West Oakland. Twenty of the apartments are subsidized with project-based Section 8. This beautifully designed community offers decks, an elegant community room, classroom space, laundry facilities, on-site covered parking, and landscaped garden area and courtyard. Just adjacent to Ironhorse, 14th Street has been fully reconstructed to include a traffic-calming pocket park and pedestrian amenities. Ironhorse incorporates many “green” or sustainable materials and techniques, such as photoelectric energy generation and a vegetated green roof. Build it GREEN recognized Ironhorse with a GreenPoint Showcase Award for Achievement in Multi-Family Housing.
