SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 18, 2023—Stephen A. Richardson has been elected to the Board of Directors of BRIDGE Housing, a leading nonprofit developer, owner and manager of affordable housing.
Mr. Richardson is an executive management consultant at Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc., the leading owner, operator and developer of collaborative campuses for life science, agtech and technology companies in the nation’s top innovation clusters. He previously served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of the company from April 2018 to July 2022 and as Chief Operating Officer from October 2011 to April 2018. Earlier, he served as Regional Market Director of the San Francisco Bay Area, where he led the management and growth of all aspects of the region’s asset base and operations, and as Vice President of Portfolio Services.
Before joining Alexandria, Mr. Richardson was a Director of CellNet Data Systems, where he was responsible for negotiating large-scale technology transactions and aggregating a national footprint of wireless spectrum. Prior to that, he was Director of Marketing and Leasing for Paragon Group, a national real estate development company, and a real estate broker with Schneider Commercial Real Estate, serving the Greater Silicon Valley market.
Mr. Richardson currently serves on the board of the Gladstone Foundation, a not-for-profit organization supporting the Gladstone Institutes, an independent state-of-the-art biomedical research institution. He is a former board member of California Life Sciences, the state’s most influential and impactful life sciences membership organization. Mr. Richardson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Literature from Claremont McKenna College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.
