LEADERSHIP

Leadership is embedded in our culture: in our history, our people, our work, and our ambitious mission.

Leadership Team

Our leadership is driven by the same passion of our visionary founders – and their commitment to do “whatever it takes.”

Our executives are bringing new ideas, strategies, and resources to the urgent mission of ensuring affordable housing and resident programs. We are also fortunate to have an engaged Board of Directors, whose members have deep experience in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors.

BRIDGE Team members gathered at the 40th Anniversary celebration at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco on November 9, 2023.

A History of Innovation

BRIDGE Housing was born 40 years ago after the San Francisco Foundation received an anonymous $600,000 gift.

Tasked with spearheading bold solutions to the growing shortage of affordable housing in the Bay Area, the Foundation created BRIDGE, and we turned that seed capital into homes for more than 30,000 people – and growing – as we seek to fulfill our mission, day after day, year after year.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to our mission and our values.

BRIDGE was founded on a premise that is fundamental to building an equitable and inclusive society: that everyone deserves a safe, affordable home and the opportunity to improve their lives.

As we work to achieve our mission, we are committed to implementing DEI principles and practices in every aspect of our work and throughout the BRIDGE family, from our leadership, Board members, and employees to our partners, vendors, and the residents of the diverse communities that we serve.

Only by assembling a diverse team, nurturing an open, collaborative, and trusting environment, and holding ourselves accountable to DEI values will BRIDGE be able to work toward breaking down biases, dismantling injustices at their root, and improving lives.
