BRIDGE acquired an existing complex convenient to transit, local shopping, and services to ensure that the property would permanently serve extremely-low-income seniors and the disabled.  A renovation program increased the quality of the buildings and improved the living environment. The acquisition involved a “bargain sale” donation by the seller, providing affordability without the need for public subsidies.
