What We Believe

Dear Friends,

Like so many of you and others across the country and around the world, I was horrified and shaken by the violent attacks on the U.S. Capitol and democracy. BRIDGE adds its voice to those who are speaking out, because we stand with our staff, residents and partners who deserve and demand racial, social and economic justice.

At a time when so much feels chaotic and unprecedented, we are committed to focusing on our mission and what we do to help people and communities, particularly those who have been discriminated against and denied rights and opportunities for so long. We believe in sustaining and creating communities where all people have access to opportunity and advancement, starting with a place to call home.

There is a direct line from our country’s past actions and inactions to the deadly violence of last week; it is our responsibility to change the course and become who we aspire to be.

Thank you to all who are working toward a more just and equitable future.
