Songbird (North Williams) brings 61 new affordable homes for families to Portland’s Eliot neighborhood.
The five-story apartment building, Songbird (previously known as North Williams), will form a “U” shape around a landscaped resident courtyard. The building will include a large community room, as well as laundry and resident services spaces. Planned site features include individual stoops for ground-floor units, a children’s play area and a variety of gathering spaces for residents, including an urban plaza which will foster connections with the surrounding community.

Living at Songbird (North Williams)
Located in Portland, OR, Songbird will offer 61 affordable apartments consisting of one-, two-, and three bedroom apartment. 20 of the units at Songbird will be available to applicants of the N/NE Preference Policy Waitlist, which is administered by the Portland Housing Bureau. The waitlist application period for these 20 units ended as of February 21, 2020.
The remaining units at Songbird will have Project Based Section 8 subsidy. These Project Based Section 8 units will have a separate application beginning June 22, 2020. Application information is below.
Pre-applications received by July 7, 2020 will be randomly ordered. Pre-applications received after July 7 will be added to the end of the Project Based waitlists.
Songbird is anticipated to complete construction in summer 2020. Income and other restrictions apply.
