Grand Opening of 474 Natoma

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 29, 2014—BRIDGE Housing today will celebrate the grand opening of 474 Natoma in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood.

The event begins at 11 am with a speaking program followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and refreshments. BRIDGE is an award-winning nonprofit developer, owner and manager of affordable homes.

474 Natoma offers 60 rental apartments affordable to families with annual incomes ranging from $44,280 to $66,420 for a four-person household (40 to 60% of Area Median Income). Monthly rents range from $711 to $1,569, depending on income and apartment size.

In an effort to serve families, 40% of the units are two- and three-bedroom apartments with an average size of approximately 1,200 square feet. Amenities include a rooftop deck and community garden, laundry facilities and a community room.

The nine-story mid-rise building features sustainable building strategies and has achieved GreenPointRated certification. As a development located in the C-3 district, the property also incorporates a public artwork installation on the exterior along the length of the elevator shaft.

“With high density on a tight yet transit-oriented site, 474 Natoma is a prime example of urban infill development,” said Cynthia A. Parker, President & CEO of BRIDGE Housing. “We believe it’s poised to be a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization along the 6th Street corridor.”

Financing for the $31.5-million development was provided by the San Francisco Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure, the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, and Bank of America, N.A. The Executive Architect was Saida + Sullivan Design Partners; the Design Architect was Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects; and the General Contractor was Nibbi Brothers General Contractors.

Expected speakers for the grand opening include San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, District 6 Supervisor Jane Kim; Tiffany Bohee, Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure; Ari Beliak, Community Development Banking, Bank of America N.A.; and Ann Silverberg, Executive Vice President, BRIDGE Housing.
