Brooke Barnhart has served as Vice President of Compliance for BRIDGE since February 2023. In this role, Ms. Barnhart manages three groups that are responsible for compliance and occupancy activities across BRIDGE’s portfolio of 125+ properties, including stabilized, operating buildings and newly developed, acquired and repositioned properties. A seasoned veteran of the affordable housing community, she has participated in the lease up, acquisition and resyndication of more than 5,500 units of housing.

Ms. Barnhart joined BRIDGE in 2001, earning successive promotions and taking on additional responsibilities as she advanced within the company. Most recently, as Director of Compliance – New/Repositioned Properties, she was accountable for successful lease ups and resyndications for BRIDGE properties in Southern California, Northern California, and Oregon. She has provided leadership and collaboration on the compliance aspects of BRIDGE’s most complex developments, such as the large-scale multiphase redevelopments at Potrero in San Francisco and Jordan Downs in Los Angeles; Celadon at 9th & Broadway in San Diego, a 250-unit, mixed-population high rise composed of two stacked tax-credit entities; and acquisition/conversion of seven occupied, distressed public housing properties in San Francisco under the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program.

Ms. Barnhart holds a B.A. in Anthropology with Honors from the University of California, Davis, and is a member of the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California. She was honored with BRIDGE’s Don Terner Award of Excellence in 2013 and the Carol Galante Award of Excellence in 2020.
