New Opportunities, Starting with Home

At the grand opening of The Rivermark in West Sacramento last week, we were fortunate to hear from Marcia, a new resident of the property. Previously, she and her daughter had been living with family. Moving into The Rivermark gave them their own space for the first time in their lives.

“I work at a call center, and it means a lot to have rent I can afford,” said Marcia. “It’s not as stressful now, and it’s easier to manage our budget for things like food and clothes.”

She and the other residents have access to a community room and classroom space on the ground floor of the building, as well as a peaceful community courtyard and children’s rock climbing wall. “This is a great place for my daughter,” she said.

We are proud that The Rivermark offers Marcia’s family and 69 others an affordable, beautiful place to call home. For insight into how BRIDGE helps our residents build brighter futures, we invite you to check out this short video of “Karen’s Story” on our BRIDGEtown storytelling site/app.
