La Vereda is part of an innovative mixed-use, transit-oriented, affordable housing development.

The second phase of a two-phase development, La Vereda (San Leandro Senior Apartments) is an 85-unit transit-oriented, affordable senior housing development at the San Leandro BART station. Phase One, Marea Alta, completed in 2017, consists of 115 affordable apartments for families.

La Vereda  provides affordable one- and two-bedroom apartments to senior households earning between 30% and 50% of the area median income. Amenities include a ground-floor community banquet room with an adjoining community kitchen and an exterior courtyard. BRIDGE will partner with Episcopal Senior Communities to provide services to the residents. La Vereda, like Marea Alta, was built using modular construction techniques.
