Timothy Van Scott II Joins BRIDGE Housing as Director of Jordan Downs

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 19, 2017—Timothy Van Scott II has joined BRIDGE Housing as Director of Jordan Downs, effective July 10.

Mr. Scott will oversee the redevelopment of Jordan Downs, a large-scale, mixed-income, mixed-use public housing revitalization effort in Los Angeles. He will report to Executive Vice President Kimberly McKay. BRIDGE is a nationally recognized nonprofit developer, owner and manager of affordable housing.

Mr. Scott has more than 20 years of experience in real estate development, finance and community development. He comes to BRIDGE from Urban Design Center where as a development consultant he managed a vast range of community and economic development projects for non-profit and for-profit corporations as well as developed and maintained collaborative partnerships with government agencies, funders and community organizations. Projects included the administration of a senior residential care community, the Director of Community and Real Estate Development of a community based healthcare organization, and the Interim CEO of the Los Angeles Housing Partnership.

Prior to Urban Design Center, Mr. Scott was the Vice-President and Chief Program Officer for Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc (NHS) where, among his accomplishments, he managed all aspects of a $12 million single-family homeownership development as well as completed the initial feasibility studies and financial analyses of two condominium developments; led the programmatic and neighborhood revitalization areas of LA NHS; and developed and managed education, counseling and lending contracts with government agencies, financial institutions and other agencies totaling over $3.29 million.

Mr. Scott holds a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
