Heritage Square Apartments to Break Ground in Pasadena in 2015
When complete in spring 2016, the Northwest Pasadena property will provide apartments affordable to low-income seniors ages 55 and over, who can live independently, and have incomes that are no more than 50% of area median income.
PASADENA, CA, November 5, 2014—Preconstruction work is continuing apace on Heritage Square Senior Apartments, and nonprofit developer BRIDGE Housing anticipates an early 2015 construction start of the 70-unit apartment building for low-income seniors.
The developer’s Local Benefits Plan aims to hire 20% of the construction workforce from Pasadena, procure 20% of construction supplies from companies located in Pasadena, and award 20% of subcontracting opportunities to local companies.
A website, www.HeritageSquarePasadena.com and telephone hotline, 626.808.4360, provide up-to-date information on the status of the development, services, jobs, leasing and other opportunities.
“This is an exciting example of a public-private sector partnership that will benefit multiple dimensions of the community, far beyond the seniors who will live in Heritage Square Apartments,” said Cynthia A. Parker, President and CEO of BRIDGE Housing.
